If the first half gave satisfaction in terms of play and entertainment, the second half didn’t allow ASM to recover from Colomiers, the implacable leader. Elvis Vermeulen’s men lost 19-23.
Well organized and perfectly alternating between matches on and off the pitch, the Colomiers players justified their status as team leader by establishing themselves on the Clermont field and showing realism. After 20 minutes of play, the Columérins led 16-0.
Rain, scrums and penalties…
Maintaining its game principles, ASM is back in the game. Elvis Vermeulen’s men score with Agueni well served by Oudart (7-16, 27′). Belaubre in turn scored for Montferrand after a scrum messed up by the Columérin group (12-16, 31st). The Gialloblù concede an avoidable try at the end of the first period. On a scrum from 5 meters in favor of Clermont, Parpagiola preceded Chazarin on a botched ball out of the group and dunked (12-23, 37th).

Rain doubled in the second period. If Clermont negotiated this second act better, the score only changed at the end of the game.
Clermont logically got a penalty try following multiple sanctioned scrums.
The budget remains mixed: ASM folded but with a rejuvenated workforce it managed to keep up with the parent company.
