Al-Marsad Newspaper: A video clip documented the reaction of the Kenyan President (William Ruto) upon hearing the sound of the call to prayer while delivering a speech.
The video showed that the Kenyan president stopped speaking during the call to prayer in a nearby mosque, out of appreciation and respect for the rituals of Islam.
After the muezzin finished, the audience applauded the president for his gesture, knowing that Christians in Kenya constitute 85% of the population, while Muslims make up 11%.
