The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced, on Tuesday, in a statement that it had summoned the Israeli ambassador in Amman to the ministry’s headquarters, after an Israeli police officer “intercepted” the path of the Jordanian ambassador to Israel as he entered the Temple Mount, while the Israeli police said, in a statement, that The policeman “did not know the identity of the ambassador or know of the expected visit, so he informed the responsible officer, and waited to receive instructions, and for this purpose, their entry into the Temple Mount area was delayed for a very short period.”
