Furthermore, Dr. Tunggul explained that kidney failure due to diabetes can be prevented early by controlling and controlling blood sugar, limiting protein consumed every day and taking appropriate treatment according to symptoms.

On the same occasion, an endocrine-metabolic-diabetic consultant internal medicine doctor, Dr. Sidartawan Soegondo who practices at Eka Hospital BSD, explained that there are 5 pillars in the treatment of diabetes.

Controlling diet, doing physical activity or sports, taking medication if needed, controlling or checking blood sugar, conducting education or webinars about diabetes, said Dr. Sidartawan.

“Do early screening without waiting for symptoms to prevent kidney damage and complications,” he continued.
