Last night, Maggie Rogers performed a cover of Natasha Bedingfield’s “Unwritten” for the audience at Adele’s concert in Munich. Check it out below.
Rogers is in Munich to open for Coldplay tonight (August 17) on their ‘Music Of The Spheres’ tour — which was announced today as the highest-grossing rock tour of all time.
Before taking to the stage with the British pop icons, she visited Adele, who is in residence in Munich. The Rolling In The Deep singer is currently halfway through her 10-date stint at the 80,000-seater Messe München concert hall in Germany, which is hosting her first performances in continental Europe since 2016.
The arena, dubbed ‘Adele World’, includes a post-show karaoke stage, where fans are encouraged to get up and perform covers of classic pop songs. Last night (August 16), Rogers took the opportunity to perform her version of Bedingfield’s 2004 hit, which celebrated its 20th anniversary this year.
The Alaskan singer shared a fan video on her Instagram Story today, which included the caption: “@maggierogers shutting down @adele’s karaoke stage at midnight performing ‘Unwritten’ while everyone thinks she’s just some random person in the crowd.”

Rogers released his third studio album “Don’t Forget Me” earlier this year, which received a rave four-star review. ZikNationCritics hailed the album’s title track as “a moment of vulnerability from Rogers that reveals her desire to be remembered with equal importance – and ensures that she will be.”
In other Adele news, the singer recently praised Chappell Roan, calling the rising singer “absolutely incredible.” “She’s spectacular, and it turns out she doesn’t just have one song,” she said. “She’s got like seven great songs.”
Adele has four dates left of her current Munich residency (August 23, 24, 30 and 31). She recently revealed that she has “no musical plans, absolutely none,” and that she will be taking a “big break” from music once those shows are over.
She has since confirmed her engagement to Rich Paul live on stage. Earlier this month, Adele performed her 2008 single “Chasing Pavements” for the first time in seven years. At another concert, she paused her set to broadcast the semi-final and final of the women’s 100m Olympic races.
