This year, Aija Andrejeva has received the most nominations. Triana Park, Don and Carnival Youth apply for the Golden Microphone statuette in three categories, while many musicians have received two nominations, including Kārlis Kazāks, Ozols, Ūga, Kārlis Auzāns, Liepāja Symphony Orchestra, Igo, Sudden Lights, Tautumeitas and others.
It has already been reported that the children’s vocal studio “Knīpas un Knauķi” will receive the award for a lifetime contribution to the development of Latvian music. As usual, at the end of the event, the winner in the Album of the Year category will also be awarded – there are no previously known nominees, because any album that wins in its genre category can also become the Album of the Year in the jury’s evaluation.
With the support of LaIPA, Elektrum, Vivus.lv and the Ministry of Culture, anyone interested will be able to enjoy the award ceremony live on television today, March 16 at 21.10 on TV3 and TV3Play, or in this article!
