Name of concert performance “The song dances. The dance sounds” is also an indication of the form, because the dancers will also sing and the choir will also dance. The repertoire consists of all well-known choral and dance numbers, as well as new creations, so the composer and the head of the musical part Ugis Prauliņš has created a unified sound design for the entire concert performance and assembled a “band” of 12 musicians, as the entire performance will be performed “live”.

Composer Uģis Prauliņš says: “This is our star team, a versatile orchestra, in the sense that there are well-known representatives of folk music, jazz musicians, and academic musicians here. We work for the dancers, not the other way around. This time we will not use the metranome, as it would be relatively dead. The tempo will be kept by a drummer who is hardened by us, whose effort and skill is such that he can do it and he will have to do it.” To which the drummer Marek Logins replies that he will kindly wait for the dancers’ glances to catch the right tempo.

The composition of the musicians of the performance: Kristine Karkle– Kalniņa – voice, violin; Andis Klučnieks – flutes, Edgars Kārklis – bagpipes, Reinis Puriņš – trumpet, Otto Trapāns – violin, Kaspars Gulbis – accordion, Jānis Pelše – keyboard instruments, Uģis Prauliņš – keyboard instruments, Latvīte Cirse – kokles, Ilze Grunt – guitars, Andris Grunte – bass, Mareks Logins – percussion instruments.

Taking into account the audience’s demand, ticket sales for the dress rehearsal on August 4 are also opened. Tickets “Ticket Paradise” sales offices.
