Watch – Carnival Youth offers an unusual video for the song “Milky Way”

Music video director Uģis Olte tells about the video as follows: “There are three sides to the idea of the clip. The first is my personal protest against the never-ending-storing UHT milk route that doesn’t know why it flows in so many coffee shops and even in the food parcels of schoolchildren. We wanted to invent a beautiful and meaningful fate with added value for this pointless milk. The other side – I have always wanted to film a literal clip, where plus and minus what the poem written by Māra Zālīte shows. And the third party – our nation, which has generated cubic meters of touch every time this hymn is sung by Imants Kalniņš, deserves to see what the princess of Sprīdītis really does before and after Sprīdītis’ visit. ”

The video was filmed on November 18 last year, and the band remembers it with solemn feelings: It is good that our ship was piloted by the experienced captain Uģis Olte, and we successfully returned to Earth without any fuss with the fantastic evidence trapped in the cell. No matter how far we travel in the eternal expanses of Milk, the Way will always bring us home. ”

In addition to director Uģis Olte’s clip, producer Helvijs Fiņķis, assistant director Teo Olte, assistant producer Eva Sokolovska, set designer Dāvids Smiltiņš, set designer and art department – Ieva Filatova, style and make-up – Līva Drešere, special effects and editing – Jānis Ērglis Arvis Belovs. Elvita Ragovska, actress of the New Riga Theater, has played the main role in the clip.

The song “Piena ceļš” is included in the album “Naivais ku-ku” released by Carnival Youth, which combines classic Latvian cinema songs in the group’s arrangements.
