Your Mac mini comes with built-in apps that give you hours of entertainment and sync your playback history across all your Apple devices signed in with the same Apple account.
Music
The Music app makes it easy to organize and enjoy your iTunes Store purchases, songs, and albums. In addition to your personal library, you can also subscribe to Apple Music to access the entire Apple Music catalog, which offers millions of songs on demand, as well as lossless quality and 3D audio.
If you aren’t already signed in, sign in with your Apple account to get started.
Subscribe to Apple Music. Open the Music app, choose Account > Subscribe to Apple Music, then follow the onscreen instructions.
A notice: If you don’t see Subscribe to Apple Music, you may already have a subscription through Apple One or Family Sharing.
Search for songs, albums, playlists and more. In the search field, enter what you’re looking for, such as artists, songs, or albums. The results are sorted into categories, such as artists, albums, songs, and music videos. If you only want to search your library, click “Your library” in the top right.
Buy tracks or albums. If you prefer to own your music, find the song or album you want to buy. Click iTunes Store in the upper right corner, then click the price that appears below or next to the album. Or on a song or album, click and then select “View in iTunes Store.”
Add items to a playlist. To add a song to a playlist, Control-click an object, choose Add to Playlist, then choose a playlist—or choose New Playlist to create a new playlist with your selection.
Siri: For example, say “Play the playlist ‘Olivia’s Favorite Songs’.”
TV
Watch all your movies and TV shows in the TV app. Buy or rent movies and TV shows, subscribe to channels, and pick up where you left off on any other device.
If you aren’t already signed in, sign in with your Apple account to get started.
Subscribe to Apple TV+. Apple TV+ is a subscription-based streaming service with Apple Originals, including award-winning movies, series, compelling dramas, thrilling documentaries, kids’ entertainment, comedies, and more – with new content added every month. To subscribe, click the Apple TV+ tab in the Apple TV app, then click Subscribe. You may be eligible for a free trial, if so, click the free trial button.
Search for TV shows or movies. In the top-left corner of the TV app, type the name of a TV show, movie, or actor in the search field, then press Return. Search results are grouped into Top Results, Movies, and TV Shows. Don’t know what you’re looking for? Browse the Home, Apple TV+, or Store tabs to discover new TV shows and movies.
Buy or rent. Once you’ve found a movie or TV show to watch, you can choose to buy or rent the content from the Store. To watch the purchased or rented content, open your library. Subscribed channels are available on all devices and can be shared by up to six family members using Family Sharing.
Continue where you left off. If you want to watch content on Apple TV on other devices, you can pick up where you left off. Click Home, then select the content you want to continue watching in the Up Next row.
Podcasts
Use Apple Podcasts to browse, follow, and listen to your favorite podcasts on your Mac. With personalized recommendations, you can discover new podcasts grouped by topics you like.
If you aren’t already signed in, sign in with your Apple account to get started.
Search for podcasts. Enter the name of a podcast in the search field, then press Return to quickly find your favorites. You can also search by host, guest, or topic to get a list of shows that mention or discuss them.
Play podcast. To start playing a podcast, move the pointer over the show or episode you want to play, then click .
Siri: For example, say, “Continue with the last podcast.”
Follow your favorites. Click “Follow” to add a show to your favorites so you never miss an episode. Check the “Recently Updated” tab in your library to see what’s new.
Save episodes in your media library. To save a single episode in the media library, click To download a podcast to listen to offline, click If you download podcasts to your device, you can access them on that device even without an internet connection.
