Dozens of flight attendants from the former airline Alitalia have stripped naked in a square in the Italian capital Rome. In a silent, choreographed protest, they took off their uniforms and wore only undergarments. Alitalia, which had been moribund for years, ceased to exist last week. The new Italian national airline ITA started operations on October 15. It is a smaller company that only hired 3,000 of Alitalia’s 10,000 employees. Salaries at ITA are considerably lower than at Alitalia. They want to sound the alarm with a protest choreography.
