The police and a specialized agency arrested a lion in the mountains (Puma), on Wednesday, while wandering the streets of Santiago, the capital of Chile, according to the authorities.
It was the sixth such accident in the Chilean capital since March.
Residents of the upscale neighborhood of Le Barnacha informed the authorities of the existence of this mountain lion after taking refuge in a house after wandering the streets during the day.
The lion then left the house, and the police and the National Authority for Animals pursued him and managed to arrest him after shooting calm arrows at him.

And the Santiago Zoo announced that the animal will be transferred to its clinic for a veterinary examination.
“If his condition is good, he will be returned to his natural home,” she said in a tweet.
The authorities are likely, as in the previous cases, that this mountain lion descended from the heights near Santiago in search of sustenance, taking advantage of the lack of many people on the streets due to the closure measures associated with the Covid-19 pandemic.
