Thursday night, Warner Bros. show what the upcoming Harry Potter game Hogwarts Legacy has to offer. You can watch the 14-minute video above, while you can watch a behind-the-scenes video with the developers of Avalance Software at the bottom of the article.
Hogwarts Legacy will be released for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One and PC by the end of 2022.
Build your own magical person
The first time we saw Hogwarts Legacy was in 2020. As the trailer above shows, the game is set long before Harry Potter’s time, at the very end of the 19th century. Nevertheless, we get to experience a Hogwarts that is very reminiscent of what we have become acquainted with from the film universe.
Here we get to create our own magician, and begin our journey through Hogwarts and the world around the magic school. Since we are a little older, we start right in the fifth grade – probably to make it easier to make a slightly more “adult” youth story than the first school years probably offer.

We get to make friends with other students, and take them with us on missions, fly broomsticks and duel with other magicians and magical creatures.
Unsurprisingly, there are sinister forces at work, between dark wizards and an evil faction of the gnomes, which our self-created protagonist seems to stumble upon.
Currently, Harry Potter creator is JK Rowling by the way in the middle of a new round of controversial statements. She has several times spoken disparagingly about transgender people, and several have reacted to this. Among other things The developers of Hogwarts Legacy distanced themselves from the author last yearand at the same time told that the game will let players play as trans people if they wish.
