After four years of services, the Waste Management and Sanitation Company (SGDS SA) informs the population of Greater Nokoué towns (Cotonou, Porto-Novo, Abomey-Calavi, Sèmè-Podji, Ouidah) that household waste collection will be under compliance with the payment of taxes according to the Inter-Ministerial Order adopted for this purpose.

Under the terms of that Order, the rates are set according to the services provided, the type of property built and the level of development of the geographic area.

Therefore, for built buildings that benefit from the removal of two household solid wastes per week, the monthly rates vary between 3,000 FCFA and 5,000 FCFA, depending on whether it is a building with a single dwelling or operating unit, or a building combining several dwellings. or operating units.

For built-up buildings that benefit from three household solid waste removals per week, the monthly rates are between 7,000 FCFA and 30,000 FCFA, depending on whether it is a building with one residence or an operating unit , or ‘property combining several residences or operations. units, and taking into account the level of development of the geographical area.

As a result, for constructed properties, the tax invoice will come into effect from 1 January 2025. An invoice, drawn up in the name of the owner, will be issued to the occupant of the property by SGDS SA representatives for payment.
