The object shot down this Sunday had no visible nacelle and was uninhabited. It was in the US state of Michigan, about 6000 meters above sea level.
The new flying “object” detected near Lake Huron was shot down on the orders of President Joe Biden and posed no “military threat” to US soil, a senior administration official said Sunday.
“As a precaution and on the recommendation of military command, President Biden has ordered that the unidentified object be shot down,” the official said.
“We assessed that there was not a military threat to anything on the ground,” he added. It was an “octagonal device with strings hanging down”, according to the same source.
Authorities will attempt to recover the object.
“We have no indication that he has spy abilities, but we cannot rule it out,” he said, adding that the authorities would try to recover him “ to know more”.

A fighter jet dispatched to Montana to investigate a “radar anomaly” initially failed to identify a flying “object”, according to the military.
