(Keystone-ATS) The United States announced Monday that it would resume its “offensive” arms sales to Saudi Arabia. They stopped them several years ago because of humanitarian concerns about the conflict in Yemen.
Since this freeze, and while Yemen has experienced a relative lull, Saudi Arabia “has respected the terms of the agreement, and we are ready to respect ours,” said a spokesman for the Department of Defense to the media, Vedant Patel.
