Washington Nationals Having already been eliminated from contention for a ticket to the 2024 MLB playoffs, it opens the door for its best young players to play. This morning the call-up by the DC team for the third best prospect in all of Major League Baseball was made official. And it will be this very Monday against the New York Yankees that his debut will take place.
Washington Nationals to debut their best MLB prospect against Yankees
The Washington Nationals’ wealth of prospects continues to bear fruit for the team and will once again be reflected on the field today. OF Dylan Crews was called up to the MLB roster to start the series against the New York Yankees. This will be the second time this season that Washington debuts its top prospect, as happened a few months ago when James Wood debuted.

Dylan Crews He was named top prospect after Wood graduated and now as the third best in all of MLB, he will get his chance today. The young outfielder was barely recruited in last year’s Draft and will make his debut just over 12 months later. This year in Triple A he played 49 games with a .265 batting percentage, .795 OPS, eight home runs and 30 RBIs.
Crews’ spot has finally opened up after Alex Call’s injury and the young outfielder’s challenge will be against the New York Yankees. And the Nats will continue to rely on their great young talent that continues to bear fruit in the Major Leagues. MacKenzie Gore, CJ Abrams and James Wood were big realities that came in the Juan Soto trade. And now Dylan Crews with a talent that they themselves developed.
