Washington Football Teams @ Pittsburgh Steelers – Week 13

Steelers beat Football Team in Heinz Field

As with the week 9 win against the Cowboys, the Steelers suffered a loss in their next game against a division rival after their week 11 win against the Jaguars. Anyone wondering whether the Steelers would now fill up and donate the next games was only looked at from the Steelers’ environment. The minimum goal of 8: 8 is still achievable – but even if that doesn’t work, you want to say goodbye to the season in a sensible way.

The first step to prove that was the game in week 13 against the Washington Football Team with Coach Oberkorn

1st Quarter 0:0

With the coin toss won, the Steelers decided to kick the ball and get the ball in the second half. The first of the football team should now follow, which stretched for 8 minutes. The football team with a mixture of pass and run worked their way tirelessly across the field until just before the Steelers’ end zone. But here the running defense held up 3 times and the guests were forced to a “cheap shot” field goal, which Hopkins turned into the only lead. 3:0 Football Team

The Steelers should finish their first drive quickly and return the ball to the Punten football team, which should take the ball at their own 15 yard line, where it was decided to play on Receiver Jones. The receiver was covered all the way by Devin Bush and the ball found the ball at the 42 yard line from Washington and found its way into Bush’s arms.

Now you had a short field in front of you and a little more than a minute. First they served rookie Claypool for 23 yards and were now in the Redzone. The next play was supposed to be the other rookie McFarland and was stopped after 3 yards. With the clock running out, the Steelers played a counter over Ronald Jones and this ran for 10 yards into the end zone. 3:7 Steelers

2tes Quarter 3:7

The second quarter is easy to tell – punts through neutralization in midfield. To be more precise, there wasn’t much going on at the Steelers and the football team produced two more sales. First, linebacker Vince Williams put a tackle precisely on the ball so that the ball’s wearer dropped the egg, which his colleague Devon Bush picked up. And in the end, the football team made it to the Steelers’ Red Zone again. But here, too, Devin Bush had something against it and caught the ball in the end zone, but the return with the clock running out was prevented by Washington.

3tes Quarter 3:7

The momentum and the ball were with the Steelers at the beginning of the second half. And they wanted to use that too and moved the ball across the court in variable pass and run designs. But when you thought you would find Eric Eborn in the end zone, the tackle hit and instead of a touchdown it became a 2 & 22 after a failed playaction. But a short pass into the flat and a defensive pass interference in the end zone brought the Steelers to the 1-yard line of the football team. Here Big Ben took over the old steamroller itself and ran the Shotgun QB Draw into the end zone. 3:14 Steelers

The second half started disastrously for the football team. In the first two plays of the 3rd quarter, quarterback Jameis Winston was first brought down by rookie Alex Highsmith and then by Vetran Tyson Alualu. So you stood at 3 & 25 and wanted to try to convert the whole thing into 4 new attempts. But …… the attentive reader already suspects it…. Had Devin Bush something against and caught the ball at the 36 yard line from Washington and carried it in contrast to the second quarter in the end zone of the guests. Chris Boswell put the PAT next to it. 3:20 Steelers

The next drive of the guests also landed quickly with the Steelers via punt and the Steelers’ only turnover should follow. Justin Watson was never free on his cross route, but Roethlisberger forced the throw with the result that the ball was picked. This pick was an initial spark for the following drive. Snap by snap, they worked their way towards the Steelers’ end zone and were first stopped at the 1 yard line just before the end zone. But in the second attempt you managed to run into the end zone and shorten the distance. 10:20 Steelers

4tes Quarter 10:20

The Steelers started the next drive in the 3rd quarter and were supposed to continue this in the final quarter. Of course, you now primarily bet on the running game, because you had a safe lead and wanted to take as much time off the clock as possible. And since after a long reception from Eric Ebron you were already in half of the guests, you only played the run. This ended in a 30 yard field goal from Chris Boswell who made the final score. 10:23 Steelers

The football team worked their way back down the field to a red zone posession at the Steelers’ 9 yard line. There, however, due to the score being forced, the 4th attempt was played and failed. The Steelers took over the ball at 2:39 just before their own Redzone. An 8 yard run over McFarland before and a 4 yard run by Conner after the two minute warning provided the Steelers with the first down they needed. So Ben Roethlisberger was able to kneel off the game with the clock running out.

Thanks to Oberkorn for the fair game and the relaxed talk along the way. I wish you all the best for the rest of the season! Let’s see where you end up in the team draft.
