On Tuesday night, a serious incident of violence occurred between several people in the Monsberga outdoor area in Stjørdal in Trøndelag.
The ambulance first arrived at the scene and found a badly injured man in his 20s. He was quickly transported to St. Olav’s hospital in Trondheim.
Man stable
The man’s condition is said to be stable. It is not known what injuries he has been subjected to.
– The person will be questioned as soon as his condition makes it possible, police lawyer Berit Foss Presthus informs.
A man, also in his 20s, was arrested on the spot and charged with grievous bodily harm.
In a press release on Wednesday, the Trøndelag police district states that the man is imprisoned for four weeks.
The prison meeting is scheduled for 1 p.m.
It was Adresseavisen who mentioned the case first.
Charged with several counts
The person has been charged with several offenses recently. In connection with an incident mentioned in the media in Trondheim on Sunday 17 April, where a person is said to have tried to threaten a car, the man is charged with deprivation of liberty, damage and violence against a public official.
The incident the police are aiming for happened at Buran in Trondheim on Sunday.
– The woman who called us told us that a man had grabbed her child’s hands, lifted them up and tried to threaten her husband to get him a car. The man is said to have repeatedly “get me a car”, said operations manager Viola Elvrum at the police operations center in Trøndelag to Adresseavisen then.
The person is also charged with having unjustifiably gained access to a home in Steinkjer on the night of Tuesday 19 April.
– The police take these cases very seriously and will want the man remanded in custody due to the risk of recurrence, says police attorney Foss Presthus.
TV 2 has tried to get in touch with the man’s defender Tore Angen, but he has not yet responded to our inquiries.
