How old were you when you found out that Doña Florinda was “the other”?
If you saw ‘The Chavo of 8′ when you were a girl or a boy, surely you remember that Doña Florinda and Professor Jirafales they had an obvious romance and he would enter, on each occasion, her house to have a cup of coffee. However, there is a detail that only the adults of that time, or those who rewatched the series later in life, noticed: a mysterious ring on the ring finger of Professor Jirafales’ left hand. Does that mean he was married to another woman? How is it going?
The character played by the actor Ruben Aguirre he used to come to the neighborhood to visit Doña Florinda. Sometimes she even brought him flowers. It was in one of those episodes of ‘El Chavo del 8’ in which someone noticed that Professor Jirafales was wearing a wedding ring. Let’s go with the images:

There are those who say that he was married and that was the main reason why he never had a formal relationship with Quico’s mother. However, there are also those who claim that he was a widower, just like her. Another possible theory says that he was actually just a production error: The married man was Rubén Aguirre and, when playing Professor Jirafales, he forgot to take off his ring.
Those who did get married in the series (at least in Doña Clotilde’s dreams) were Don Ramón and the Witch of 71. In real life, the actors Ramón Valdés and Angelines Fernández were great friends and their graves are placed very close to each other.
