Warsofsky still missing Panthers indefinitely – News

The Augsburg Panthers will be without their star defenseman Dave Warsofsky indefinitely. The American suffered a concussion on Straubing’s trip in mid-October, which has prevented him from playing since. The hope that he could quickly return to the team after his injury has unfortunately not come true so far.

Earlier in the week, Dave Warsofsky, in close coordination with club leaders and Augsburg attending physicians, traveled to Chicago to see a world-renowned specialist in the treatment of concussions.

team doctor Dr. Karsten Bogner of ArthroKlinik: “Unfortunately, Dave Warsofsky has not made the hoped progress in his recovery, which is why we have chosen a new treatment approach. He is now in good hands in the US and can work on his return with the support of doctors from Chicago. With this type of injury, it is not yet possible to make exact predictions about his exact downtime. Only when he is completely symptom-free can he start training again. This must be decided day by day.”
