On Saturday morning, the police intervened at the tram stop at the Central Station. The tram driver was attacked by passengers when she pointed out that they were not wearing face masks.

“There are no regulations regarding the control of the number of passengers and masks. Today, around 7.00 in the city center, the tram driver told two passengers to put on masks. It started with insults and ended with a severe beating and a broken driver’s leg. Perpetrators arrested” – she informed on Saturday morning Karolina Gałecka, a spokeswoman for the capital city hall.

Maciej Dutkiewicz, spokesman for Warsaw Trams, told tvnwarszawa.pl about the details of this situation. As he explained, the tram driver was driving the 25 tram towards Okęcie. – There was a fight at the Dworzec Centralny stop because the driver noticed that some passengers were not wearing a mask.
