Matejki and Wiejska Streets are closed to traffic. Along the barriers separating the Sejm area, there are policemen holding white helmets and shields. Candles in Ursus
Protesters also appeared in Ursus, where candles were lit in front of Mariusz Kamiński’s parliamentary office. As we read on the event’s Facebook page: “Let’s light a candle in front of Krystyna Pawłowicz’s house”, the organizers called for a meeting in front of the PiS MP Mariusz Kamiński’s office at ul. Warsaw insurgents. “Please take candles with you. During the entire event, please respect the law” – we read on the event’s website.

Deputy Speaker of the Sejm, Ryszard Terlecki, called the Marshal’s Guard and excluded Sławomir Nitras and Klaudia Jachira from the session. After the break, the session resumed, initially in the presence of the Marshal’s Guard, which kept order.

Another day of protests
In turn, on Monday around midnight at Plac Trzech Krzyży ended the event lasting from 16 protest against the abortion ruling. Thousands of protesters blocked the city center and streets in many Warsaw districts. There were scuffles during the protest. Police used gas.
