Within the framework of the month to raise awareness of the fight against breast cancer, the Potosí artist Elizabeth Alfaro Reyna, presented the pictorial exhibition titled “Warriors of God: A Battle against the Silent Enemy” in the facilities of the Mariano Jiménez Museum in the center historic San Luis Potosí, a site that receives more support from the State Government headed by Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona.
The portraitist used ten women, including her, as models to capture in oil and acrylic the process, the strength to carry oneself and the feelings that come with fighting this disease as a patient.
“Each person took it in a different way, and for me these works are an admiration, a respect for them; From there my inspiration to not be afraid was born,” said Alfaro Reyna.
Likewise, the painter commented that this exhibition will be exhibited from October 4 to 25 and is a tribute with special dedication to two of the models, since they recently lost the battle.
Finally, Elisa gave a few words to those present and highlighted the importance of timely detection and care of this condition that affects many Potosí women year after year.
