Absent during the trip from FC Metz to Valenciennes on Saturday in the Coupe de France (0-4), due to knee pain, Warren Tchimbembé will undergo meniscus surgery, the Moselle club announced on Wednesday.
The 22-year-old midfielder, who arrived from Troyes last summer, is therefore on the sidelines for two to three months, as his teammate Boubacar Traoré had been last August, or Matthieu Udol this winter. Its end of the season is therefore compromised.
Tchimbembé played 15 Ligue 1 matches with the Garnets, for four starts. His last appearance dates back to February 14, during the derby lost to Strasbourg (1-2).
