Howard Buffett, the middle of three children of world-famous investor Warren Buffett, has become one of Ukraine’s largest donors.
The family of Warren Buffett, a famous American investor and philanthropist, announced a donation of $500 million to support Ukraine in its struggle for sovereignty and democracy. This is the largest donation ever made by an individual or organization to the Ukrainian people. Howard is not going to stop: this year he intends to spend another $300 million, writes Minval.
Buffett’s family said they admire the courage and determination of Ukrainians who do not give in to Russian aggression and propaganda. They also expressed hope that their contribution will help strengthen the economy, education, healthcare and civil society in Ukraine.
Warren Buffett’s fortune is estimated at $130 billion. He ranks 7th in the world in the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
Every year, he donates billions of dollars in shares of his Berkshire Hathaway investment fund to various foundations and organizations that fight poverty, disease, inequality and education issues. Buffett is also one of the founders of the Giving Pledge, an initiative that encourages billionaires to give at least half of their wealth to charity during their lifetime or after their death.
It was previously reported that Trump supporters Congress not only refuses to vote for the draft law, but also will not make changes to it – aid to Ukraine is under threat.
