The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense issued a warning to tourists from Russia who plan to visit the Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea, which is occupied by the Russian army.
“Attention, unwanted guests. A travel warning is in effect this summer [в Крим]”, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense wrote on Twitter. “Our weather forecast is calling for stormy weather,” the video for the soundtrack to Madonna’s song Holiday also says.
The clip also shows attacks by the Ukrainian army against the occupied peninsula, which is a legitimate target of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Kiev has clearly indicated that the war against the aggressor will not end until Crimea is also liberated.
Crimea was occupied by the Russian army in 2014 when Vladimir Putin’s unprovoked war against Ukraine began. A counter-offensive of the ZSU is currently underway, one of the goals of which is the liberation of the peninsula. Many Russian citizens who bought properties there have sold them and fled in panic in recent months amid Ukrainian army attacks on military infrastructure in the area.
