Starting Monday, the warning period for drivers begins on 10 new bus routes that have surveillance cameras.
Drivers who block or park inappropriately in designated bus lanes will receive written warnings for a period of 60 days starting September 30.

And on routes in the Bronx, Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens on select service lines B82, Q53, M86, M79, M60 and Bx6 and routes B25, Q5, Q69, and B26
The initiative is expected to improve traffic flow and reduce accidents.
After these months of notices, fines are issued that start at $50 and increase to $250 for repeat offenders.
This is in addition to the 14 bus routes where the law is already being implemented and 10 routes in the five cities that started the warning period on Monday, September 16.
