Buried in the village of Cuturú Alto, in the rural area of Segovia, around 16:00 this Thursday the lifeless body of a minor was found which, according to the initial characteristics, would correspond to that of Maximiliano Tabares Caro, aged 6, disappeared from 21 September.
The first versions would show that the authorities arrived on the site, after her mother, Sandra Patricia Caro Pérez, handed over information to the authorities through an investigation held at 11:00 this Thursday morning, in which members of the Catholic Church also participated. In addition to the parent, five other people were captured for this disappearance.
Police sources went to the site, along with Robinson Esmit Arboleda Ramírez, aka “Orejas” (another of those captured for this act), who took them to the exact spot where the mortal remains were found. CTI agents have carried out the corresponding exhumation and are subsequently transferring him to Forensic Medicine facilities to determine if this body would be that of the missing boy in the Gaitán neighborhood of Segovia, where he was last seen when he entered a house. for aggression, together with his mother. The disappearance of Maximiliano would have originated, according to the authorities, in the context of the rituals of a satanic sect known as Los Carneros, which would have dedicated itself to the search for guacas de oro. According to the investigations, the child’s death occurred because his stepfather, Fabio Andrés Carmona Ramírez, aka El Lider, said that Maximiliano had a spirit that would have prevented them from finding one of these treasures.
After the disappearance, Sandra Patricia, known as “La Cacica”, stated that her son had disappeared at 7:00 that Wednesday morning when she sent him to a shop in the La Primavera neighborhood, La Cruzada neighborhood, in Remedios, which has open at 9:00 in the morning, according to the neighbors.
In this case, in addition to Sandra Patricia, Robinson Esmit and Fabio Andrés, the minor’s grandmother, Damaris Estela Pérez Escalante, aka Mary, was sent to prison. Susana Ceballos Zapata, alias Discípula or La Sumisa, and Fabian Alberto Monsalve, alias El Meditador are also prosecuted. All of them did not consent to the accusations presented by the Prosecutor’s Office for the crimes of enforced disappearance and torture.
The ombudsman, Yucelly Rincón, said that “it cannot happen that the children and adolescents of the Colombian territory, who have a higher interest of the state, are subjected to atrocious, inhuman and violent acts like what would have happened with Maximiliano”.
