It is not known whether any of the suspects also carried a weapon. The identity of the suspects is also not yet clear.
The fair continues for ‘the largest fair in the Netherlands’. This is partly due to the corona virus. The industry is struggling. While some fairs normally house more than two hundred attractions, the ninety of these in The Hague are unique in corona times.

The fairground entrepreneurs were delighted with the ‘balls’ that mayor Van Zanen showed, operator Jan Vermolen previously told Omroep West. They have taken numerous measures. A maximum of five thousand people are allowed on the site at a time. There are crush barriers, walking directions and a mascot, Peter Anderhalvemeter.
After the incident, the fair continued as usual. Nobody was hurt.
