Warning: Risky Resale of Czech Republic World Championship Tickets

For example, the bazos.cz server already has several advertisements offering daily lottery packages. Price? On the order of two thousand higher than the original one. For example, one of them sells eight daily tickets for Wednesday, May 15, when the Czechs play Denmark and the Swiss play Great Britain for 5,880 crowns/piece. The original price is 3,780 crowns, so it can cost him up to 17,000 crowns.

It is no coincidence that it offers exactly eight packages. That’s how many lottery winners could buy. So this particular advertiser is doing it for selfish reasons because he is selling all the day tickets he could get. It’s not like one or two were “accidentally” left and he didn’t have anyone to tell them to.

Then there are extreme cases when traffickers want three times more for one package worth 4,080 crowns.

A number of offers are then in Slovak.

But the sale and purchase of these tickets are very risky for both parties. Milan Gremlica, the head of the WC ticketing department, has already warned in advance: “Resale is prohibited and we can block tickets in case of detection according to the business conditions, which we would not like. I also don’t recommend street sales, when the ticket is copied several times, but only the first viewer gets through.”

Now Miloš Židík from the communication department of the championship adds to Sport.cz with regard to that series of advertisements: “We are in contact with the Police of the Czech Republic.”

He logically did not say what specific steps to expect, but it is clear that the organizers are not enthusiastic about those peeks. In addition, tickets today are sent by e-mail, they do not have any trademarks, so a possible purchase through Internet bazaars or on the street can end very badly. A dealer can easily print one ticket ten times, but only the first one gets into the hall. “We warn people to avoid such purchases, because it is risky for them and we are not responsible for it,” warns Židík.

At the same time, “only” 20 percent of the tickets went into the lottery, the hunt for the rest will begin on Tuesday at ten in the morning. And probably the Internet will be filled with similar ads even more.
