For this purpose, the military counter-intelligence service of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) disseminates information among the personnel of the occupying contingent about the alleged planned strike attack by the Ukrainian forces at the Zaporizhia NPP.
“The special service of the occupiers claims that a “storming” of the nuclear plant will be organized at the end of July, in which “strike groups” and unnamed “volunteer armed units of Ukraine” will allegedly take part,” the statement said.
HUR believes that the circulation of such information may indicate that the occupiers are preparing an operation “under a foreign flag” that will lead to a major accident at the Zaporizhzhya NPP.
According to the available information, another simulation of the shooting of the power plant is currently being prepared in order to accuse Ukraine.
HUR refers to such actions as an “act of nuclear terrorism”.
Ukraine has repeatedly emphasized that only the Zaporizhia NPP coming under full control of Ukraine and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), as well as the creation of a wide demilitarized zone around the power plant, will be able to guarantee the safe operation of the NPP.
