Warning: Phishing Attacks Targeting Apple iCloud Users on the Rise

Technology experts warn of the spread of phishing messages attacking Apple iCloud users, stressing the importance of not opening any suspicious links.

In this context, the German Consumer Protection Portal warned of the spread of phishing messages attacking Apple iCloud users.

The portal also explained that Apple users are currently receiving emails such as “Your iCloud storage capacity is full. Get 50 GB for free!”, warning against clicking such messages, because they are sent by Internet hackers and not from Apple.

The click is directed to fake sites, allowing hackers to steal not only Apple ID access data to the cloud storage service, iCloud, but also credit card data.

The importance of changing your password

If you fall prey to hackers, you must change your Apple ID password immediately and inform the bank to stop the credit card.
The portal recommended activating two-factor authentication (2FA) to protect Apple’s identity, to prevent hackers from logging into the user’s account, even if the password falls into their hands.
