Strong winds are expected Tuesday for areas of Los Angeles County, including possible isolated gusts of up to 55 mph in some mountainous areas.
A wind advisory will be in effect for the Los Angeles County mountains, excluding the Santa Monica range, until 10 am, and until 9 pm for the Antelope Valley.
In the mountains of Los Angeles County, the National Weather Service (NWS) forecast areas of northwest to north winds of 20 to 30 mph, with gusts of up to 45 mph, and possible isolated gusts of 55 mph in the peaks and valleys of the mountains affected.
In Antelope Valley, the forecast calls for west-northwest winds at 20-30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.
The weather service has warned that the gusts will blow around unsecured objects and make driving difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles.
According to the weather service, Interstate 5 and Highway 14 in Los Angeles County could be particularly affected.
The gusts could knock over tree limbs and cause power outages, the weather service said.
