The government and PT Pertamina (Persero) began to implement a single user system (single user) for consumers who want to buy BBM. The number plate of the vehicle that fills the fuel will be recorded.
“Now we have started the surveillance system by highlighting the plate system to be able torecord. Later, it will be discovered that vehicles are refueling back and forth,” said Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Arifin Tasrif in a written statement, Friday (22/4/2022).
The government will also optimize the use of digital technology as part of distribution supervision such as CCTV and digitization.
“So we know the goods (BBM) sent and the goods purchased. Everything is recorded,” said Arifin.
He also asked gas station officers to speed up filling BBM and pay attention to the layout of the gas station. This was conveyed by Arifin when monitoring the distribution of fuel on the West Java toll road on Friday (22/4).
“We ask gas station officers to increase fuel filling to reduce long queues. There must be extra work to speed up and utilize the layout (gas stations) for large vehicles,” he explained.
Notes from the results of the misuse of BBM in the digitization system will be immediately followed up by reporting to law enforcement.
“Yesterday, many actions were taken by the police in the case of stockpiling and layout of the tank from 200 liters to 400 liters. It could also leak at gas stations. That’s why we are trying to handle it,” explained Arifin.
