Infectious disease doctor Andrei Pozdnyakov warned that doctors expect an increase in incidence in the current autumn-winter season, and at the beginning of winter the wave of infections will grow steadily. The doctor named the most common strains of the virus as group A influenza virus strains – H3N2 and H1N1. These traditional strains will circulate throughout the world and are responsible for the global outbreak of the virus.
The doctor added that the flu has a very short incubation period, so a person can feel the symptoms of the infection just a few hours after infection.

Pozdnyakov also drew attention to the fact that already in the first illness a person feels a sudden increase in temperature – the infection is characterized by a sharp onset of malaise. In addition to a rapid rise in temperature, people with the flu complain of severe headaches, as well as aches affecting muscles and joints.
Symptoms arise and rapidly increase against the background of severe weakness, which is caused by intoxication of the body. On the 2-3rd day, in typical cases, a dry, non-productive cough will appear; its attacks can be painful. But a runny nose is not typical for such flu, Pozdnyakov explained.
