Warner’s ban will be lifted; He will captain the ODI team; Action | David Warning | sport | manorama news | Sports news

Cricket Australia changed the rules to lift David Warner’s lifetime captain ban. After the World Cup, David Warner will be named captain of the Australian ODI team.

Cricket Australia is changing David Warner’s code of conduct, who is facing a lifetime ban from the position of captain. An amendment to the law is underway according to which the player at risk of disqualification can request a review after a certain period. With the retirement of Aaron Finch, a replacement is sought for the captain. Although he is facing a disqualification, teammates and former players have asked Cricket Australia to consider David Warner for the position of captain. Warner and Steve Smith were banned from their captain for life following the ball tampering scandal during the Test match against South Africa. Smith was the captain and Warner the vice-captain at the time of the disqualification.
