Warner Bros will simultaneously release new films in cinema and offer them via streaming

In concrete terms, this concerns 17 films that will be released in theaters and therefore via streaming in the course of next year, including “Dune”, “The matrix 4”, “Godzilla vs Kong” and “Suicide squad 2”. The intention is for the time being to only apply this new strategy in the coming year, but there is a good chance that few viewers will want to go back.

Warner will release the films on HBO Max, a streaming service that is not (yet) active in Belgium. The rights of HBO series in our country are held by Telenet and can be viewed via streaming service Streamz. It is not yet clear whether the new films will also end up there. There is therefore a chance that little will change for the Belgian cinema sector.
