Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader Beta Survey Results: Player Feedback and Future Improvements

The creators of Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader shared results of a survey of players about the beta version of the RPG. Let us remember that it started at the beginning of summer and offered the first three chapters.

More than 5 thousand people took part in the survey, who gave the game an average of 4.3 points out of 5. The alpha version had almost the same score.

The developers note that right now they are actively working on adding more reactions of companions to the player’s actions to the game, as well as expanding the belief system. It was these two aspects that players complained about the most. In addition, Owlcat is improving the training system, which, however, already seems very useful to many.

Also, the creators of the role-playing game plan to further balance the difficulty to make it more interesting to play at later stages. That is, in fact, now the game on normal difficulty seems easier than it could be.

The most popular doctrine among beta players was the Marksman, but the developers want to make it a little less lethal. At the same time, the Adept became the least popular: some of his abilities were bugged, and this will be fixed. In addition, the developers will generally improve this doctrine.

Owlcat also intends to update the interface. In particular, the interfaces for leveling up, cargo and loot and aiming. Plus they will make the trading system and profit factor more understandable.

Gameplay developers are fixing bugs in cutscenes and have already added the ability to skip these inserts. In addition, those ground battles that do not seem particularly original or drawn out will be changed. Space combat, space exploration, and colony management will also be improved.

They are also working on some locations separately. This applies primarily to places that appear in the later stages of the game. At the same time, players generally liked some of the initial locations quite a lot.

As expected, Argenta again became the most beloved companion of players (her image is in the news picture). It’s a shame she won’t be available for a romantic relationship. And at the very end of the list are Jai and Idira. The developers say they are going to improve them both in terms of gameplay and narrative.

Plus, Owlcat shared other statistics from the players surveyed following the beta results.

Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader will be released on December 7 on PS5, Xbox Series and PC. Players will become Rogue Traders, wielding enormous power in this dark universe with the confrontation between the Imperium of Man and the forces of Chaos.

Having taken possession of a huge fortress ship, we go to the Koronus Expanse to restore our Home to its former greatness and decide the fate of the local planets and their inhabitants.
