Wargaming announced the launch of its yet largest charity initiative. He urges his players to support Ukraine across his six games, incl World of Tanks a World of Warships.
“At Wargaming, we love war games, but we hate real war. And this topic is especially sensitive for us, because we have a whole studio in Kyiv that is working hard on World of Tanks and other products despite all the horrors that their country is experiencing every day.” explains the originally Belarusian studio in a press release.
In the past year, the company has contributed to aid Ukrainian civilians, including $1 million in medical aid and equipment during the first week of the war. This is just one of many campaigns. Among other things, Wargaming donated another $100,000 to the victims of the Kachovka disaster, and hundreds of its employees are contributing on their own initiative, starting an internal fundraiser and collecting 200,000 euros for the purchase of ambulances for Ukrainian medical workers.
“We believe in the power of unity and are determined to continue our efforts. Now we’re calling on all our players to join us in supporting those affected by war, and we’re launching our biggest charity project – Wargaming United.” the company continues.
