Warehouses and stores will not be able to sell alcohol during the weekend

Within the restrictions announced by the Nuevo León Health Secretariat to reduce cases and deaths from covid-19 in the entity, it highlights that warehouses and convenience stores will not be able to sell alcohol on Saturdays and Sundays.

This measure, like those announced today by state authorities, begins this weekend.

According to Manuel de la O Cavazos, head of the agency, this action was taken in agreement with the mayors and municipal presidents of Nuevo León.

“A moment ago we had a meeting with the mayors and we agreed that warehouses and convenience stores do not sell alcohol on Saturdays and Sundays,” he said.

Aldo Fasci Zuazua, secretary of state Public Security, and Miguel Ángel Perales, director of Civil Protection Nuevo León, were present at the daily press conference on the panorama of covid-19 in the state.

Both officials announced that the units they have will be collecting evidence from the establishments, in general, that do not comply with the sanitary standard.
