Border guards showed how they maintain the defense in Donbass
The soldiers of the defense forces not only destroy enemy equipment, but also personnel. On March 9, the Russians in the battles against the border guards lost more than 50 people killed and wounded, writes the Ukrainian Focus.
The Russian infantry on the movement routes and in the shelters were destroyed by the border guards in the direction of Bakhmut with the help of mortars. On March 10, the State Border Service posted a relevant video on Telegram.
Mortars effectively destroyed enemy personnel. A sniper pair of Ukrainian border guards thwarted the invaders’ plans for a wide offensive. The Ukrainian defenders liquidated the occupier who was trying to bring the reserve to the skirmish line.
Having lost their orientation, 10 attack planes decided to hide behind a ruined structure. They were subsequently destroyed by border guards with mortars.
In another direction in the Donetsk region, the fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also showed excellent results. The UAV operators successfully made a “delivery” over the heads of the Russian occupiers. The munitions destroyed the dugout the invaders were in, as well as their anti-tank missile system. In total, on March 9, as reported by border officials, enemy forces lost ATGMs, 24 people were killed and another 27 were wounded.
The defense of Bakhmut continues, despite the attempts of Russian units to capture the city. The invaders failed to surround the garrison. Russian troops are losing their most capable units, including paratroopers and Wagner troops.
Earlier, Focus published a statement by the spokesman of the Eastern Group of Troops, Sergey Cherevatiy, regarding the fact that a large number of “Wagnerians” died in the Bakhmut Fields. The psychological state of mercenaries is extremely low. The speaker suggests that the inglorious history of the “Wagnerians” will soon come to an end. He also noted that the defense of Bakhmut remains an important task for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Sirsky, personally arrived on the territory of Bakhmut to make sure that the city was held. He recalled that the defense of the settlement lasted nearly 10 months. The defense forces have managed to implement a number of tactical actions that have so far prevented the Russians from capturing the city in an operational environment, but the situation remains dire.
