The drone that passed through three NATO countries without being seen
NATO has confirmed that a military drone, from the conflict in Ukraine and Russia, according to organization sources, has flown over the airspace of three member countries of the Atlantic Alliance, Romania, Hungary and Croatia, until reaching the capital of Zagreb. Specifically, the device hit a field near a student centerwhere luckily there were no deaths to mournaccording to the Croatian authorities.
“Integrated Air and Missile Defense of the NATO tracked the flight path of an object that later crashed in Zagreb. The Croatian authorities have announced that they are investigating this incident,” noted the Atlantic Alliance. In addition, the Croatian Prime Minister, Andrej Plenkovic, has asked NATO to interpose a better air defense coordination structure in these countries belonging to the Alliance and which in turn are close to the war in Ukraine.
“This incident reveals the need for greater cooperation within NATO. The possibility of something like this happening should not be allowed and should not happen again,” Andrej Plenkovic said after what happened. Jens Stoltenberg, general secretary of the organization, spoke with the highest Croatian representative with the aim of “working together and determining the facts”.
