Ukraine, Kiev: ’61 of the 71 cruise missiles launched from Moscow shot down’
The Ukrainian defense has announced that it has shot down 61 of the 71 Russian missiles fired at the country between yesterday evening and this morning. “Between 21:50 on February 9 and 12:00 on February 10,” the Russians “launched 71 cruise missiles (43 Kh-101 and Kh-555 and 28 Kalibr), as well as 35 S-300 missiles. In addition, the enemy used seven Shahed attack drones. The Armed Forces of Ukraine and other parts of the defense destroyed 61 cruise missiles and five drones,” Kyiv forces commander General Valerii Zaluzhnyi said on Telegram. The cruise missiles, the general explained, were launched by Tu-95 strategic bombers from the Caspian Sea, Volgodonsk (Rostov oblast, in southern Russia) and ships in the Black Sea. The S-300s were fired from Belgorod Oblast of Russia, bordering Ukraine, and occupied territories in Zaporizhzhia Oblast of Ukraine.
