Close cooperation with aid organizations
Mayer is local editor at the Main Post subsidiary Obermain Tagblatt in Lichtenfels. In addition, he has been working closely with international aid organizations for many years and reports from war and crisis zones – including Ukraine since 2007.
For the past five years, the war in the east of the country has been a long-term project for the reporter and photographer from Upper Franconia. His photo and report volume “Donbas – Europa’s forgotten war” has been published by Erich-Weiß-Verlag. Till Mayer has received several awards for his reports. After the most recent major Russian invasion, he used his photos and texts to tell about human fate for this editorial office.
