Alexei Jouravlev, elected to the Duma since 2011, issued a warning to the United States that Vladimir Putin could wipe out the country’s east and west coasts with just four Sarmat missiles, reports the New York Post.

“Being competent, I tell you that to destroy the entire east coast of the United States, two Sarmat missiles are enough,” said Monday, May 30, the leader of the Rodina party. It refers to the new Russian intercontinental ballistic missiles, known as “Satan-2” in NATO countries.

“And the same goes for the west coast,” added Alexei Jouravlev before concluding: “Four missiles, and there will be nothing left.” The deputy bounced on an excerpt from the American channel CBS News which speculated on a potential nuclear strike in New York.
