Representatives of the Russian Federation and Belarus were asked not to attend commemorative events on the occasion of the liberation of the prisoners of Buchenwald and Dora-Mittel and the cessation of the concentration camps themselves.

The Director of the German Concentration Camps Memorial Fund also reminded the world community about the death of the former prisoner of Buchenwald, 96-year-old Boris Romanchenko, as a result of the shelling of Kharkov by Russian missiles.
