War in Ukraine: the City of Chartres calls for volunteers to sort donations

After having launched an appeal for donations for the Ukrainian populations and which was massively followed by the inhabitants of the agglomeration, the City of Chartres (Eure-et-Loir), appeals again for solidarity for Ukraine.

She wishes, this time, with the CCAS of Chartres, to find volunteers to sort the objects, clothes and food collected at the two collection points. This session will take place Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 8 rue de la Taye in Lucé.

Some donations will not go to Ukraine

The City explains, this Tuesday, March 15, 2022, that part of the donations of clothing and food that have been received can no longer be sent to Ukraine, As a result of their influx, humanitarian associations now favor financial donations to acquire very specific equipment.

What will become of your donations?

The remaining donations to Chartres will be used and distributed to Ukrainian refugees who have arrived in the cities of the agglomeration in recent weeks.

To become a volunteer on Saturday, all you have to do is go there, no registration is necessary, indicates the City of Chartres.
