Kryvyi Rih, the birthplace of President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, has about 650,000 inhabitants. The city is located in the Dnipropetrovsk region, about 35 miles southeast of Kiev.

Eight cruise missiles
Deputy Chief of Staff Kyrylo Tymoshenko revealed the dam attack on the Telegram messaging service for the first time, reports the AP news agency. Eight cruise missiles aimed at water supply hit the city, which is located 15 miles southwest of Dnipro.

They say videos shared on Telegram and Twitter show extensive damage to the dam. There have been reports of bridges being washed away by water bodies, but there have been no reports of deaths or injuries following the flooding on Wednesday night.
