Leipzig/MZ – A photo exhibition on the war in Ukraine will be staged in Leipzig and six other German cities from the end of November. The exhibition ‘Pictures from the Twin City’ of the photo agency OSTKREUZ starts in Leipzig on 22 November. and shows photographs of Kiev. The total of seven German partner cities are Leipzig and Munich for Kyiv, Nuremberg for Kharkiv, Freiburg im Breisgau for Lviv, Bergisch Gladbach for Butscha, Borna for Irpin and Memmingen for Chernihiv.
“With the exhibition, we want to bring the war in Ukraine into the everyday perception of people in German partner cities and thus appeal to the solidarity of the residents: inside to get actively involved in helping refugees from Ukraine,” says the agency manager of OSTKREUZ.
Photographs from Ukraine in concise places
The images on display will capture current events in Ukrainian cities to draw attention to the ongoing situation of the Ukrainian people. No cruelty of war should be shown.
Photographs from Ukraine are presented in concise and publicly visible places in the respective urban area. A total of 40 different motifs will be exhibited in the seven cities. The photographers of the exhibition have been to Ukraine regularly since the beginning of the war and documented what was happening there.
