Wanted to go to Spain: Toilet problem forces plane to land in New York

This is probably not how the passengers of an American Airlines flight imagined their trip: They were supposed to fly from Dallas in the US state to Madrid in Spain on August 7. But because of a disgusting incident, this plan did not work out, reports the television station “WDHN“.

Plane must be diverted to New York

As the “Daily Mail” writes that the toilet on board overflowed. The plane then had to land at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York. The airline paid for the hotel accommodations of those affected.

According to “wdhn.com”, a spokesperson for American Airlines said, among other things: “On August 7, American Airlines Flight 36 from Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) to Madrid (MAD) was diverted to New York (JFK) due to a maintenance issue.” The statement also apologized for the inconvenience.

Flight has to make emergency landing due to spoiled meals

Recently, something went wrong on another flight: A Delta flight from Detroit to Amsterdam had to make an emergency landing at JFK Airport in New York City – because of spoiled meals. This was reported by the “New York Post”. After the safe landing, the passengers were cared for by medical staff.

According to the Daily Mail, a Delta spokesperson said of the incident: “Delta teams will immediately work to gather information on how this incident occurred. This is not the service Delta is known for and we sincerely apologize to our customers for the inconvenience and delays to their travels.”
